Teaching

I've been teaching piano, theory/ear training, composition and improvisation to students of all age groups for over 20 years now.
The level of my students ranges from beginners to graduate music students enrolled in prestigious programs such as Manhattan School of Music, NYU and City College. I am currently an Assistant Professor and serve as the Deputy Chair at CUNY-BMCC, where I teaches classes in performance, ensemble playing, piano, and theory, as well as focusing on the development of a new degree specialization in jazz and popular music. Under my direction, BMCC’s jazz ensemble received multiple DownBeat Student Music awards. I presented master classes/clinics and workshops at universities and colleges throughout the USA (Yale, Temple University, Roosevelt College, Northern Illinois University and others). I teach a limited amount of private lessons only. If you are interested in taking a lesson please get in touch with me by using the contact form.
